South Pacific Cruise: 11 Nights in July 2013

This cruise on the Carnival Spirit takes you to the tried-and-true South Pacific ports and also to some more off the beaten track. Relax and enjoy some sunshine, scenery and the tropics with Carnival!

The ship leaves from Sydney and spends two days at sea during which passengers relax and get into the cruise mood. The first stop is the beautiful Isle of Pines off the coast of New Caledonia, where pine trees fringe white beaches and clear waters. The tiny Mystery Island comes after that, even smaller than Isle of Pines and uninhabited for extra tropical seclusion! The next port of call is Wala, Vanuatu. This is a serene island free of electricity, phones and roads! Santo comes next- Espiritu-Santo is Vanuatu's biggest island and is considered the prettiest in the South Pacific! There are many things to do here if you are sick of lying on the beach- the Millenium Caves, exploring the famous Blue Holes and cultural experiences in Vil Vil Village. It is also home to a great dive wreck, the SS President Coolidge. Port Vila, Vanuatu's capital, is the final destination before the cruise heads back to Sydney.

About the Carnival Spirit

The Carnival Spirit has recently been aussified- she will soon be based in Sydney and has had several new additions for the Australasian market. These include a thrill slide and an outdoor BBQ. The ship also has legendary nightlife, with 12 lounges and bars of which many have live music. The bars are all differently decorated, with names such as the 'Shanghai Bar,' 'Pharoah's Palace,' 'Champions Sports Bar' and more. There is an extensive spa and gym, 3 pools, a fun WaterWorks area with two slides and a drencher bucket. The Serenity Space is an Adults-Only retreat with a hot tub and luxurious sun loungers. Main dining is in the two-deck Empire dining room in all its Napoleonic splendour, and La Playa Grill is a buffet casual option for breakfast and lunch, and in a reduced capacity for dinner. Hamburgers and hot dogs are available by the pool, and there is also a pizzeria. Nouveau Supper Club is a specialty option.
